You don't know how much I've missed you, and how glad I am to hear that you're going to be back real soon.
You are so talented with your writing. And you use that talent to put life into the proper perspective. The people who read your blog appreciate that you help them see things they otherwise might not see. (Melanie)
Hinsley, when you are able, stop by and pick up your LEMONADE award from The Living With A Chronic Illness blog. You received it for blogging with an attitude of gratitude.
Thinking of you often and did not mean to ignore your treasured comment on my so out-of-date blog. But I'm back and I wish you were here. Anonymous (below) is right - you are so talented. I hope you are back soon and that all is settled with your housing arrangements. I've been there, too, with the unknown regarding where to live, and have overcome. You will, too.
I saw you were looking for an apt or house near belfast? Would you be interested in a home in Stockton Springs? I'm 20 years old and bought my first house with my fiancee and son about a year and a half ago. Its a beautiful ranch with a garage/barn. We want to move back to Massachusetts where our family is because we really miss it but we need to sell our home. Our mortgage payment is only 6xx.00 and with insurance and the taxes its about 897 a month. Would you be interested?
Please let me know, I'm trying to sell it without a realtor because I know someone will fall in love with the house. We just put a brand new wood stove in there.
Hinsley Ford spent her childhood years incubating like a fuzzy chick in an oxygen tent due to an immune disorder. Though largely self-taught in childhood, Hinsley went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree from Mount Holyoke College and a Master's from Harvard University. Not inclined to take herself too seriously, she writes about the ugliness of illness with a great deal of laughter and levity. She sees no reason why we have to keep the truth of our days so silent.
At the age of 19, Hinsley was diagnosed with Bipolar and Schitzo-affective disorders and has since survived several beneficial trips to the chicken coop. Eight years ago she was diagnosed with Parvo B19, an airbourne virus that resides in the bone marrow and causes extreme joint and connective tissue pain. The Parvo virus has initiated or augmented an array of other health problems including chronic shingles, Post-herpetic Neuralgia, vision loss, short-term memory loss, and Stage 5 Endometriosis. Constant bouts of shingles have damaged the nerves in her lower back and around her spine, and there are many days she is immobilized by pain.
Due to immune sensitivity and decreased mobility, Hinsley rarely enters the outside world, but remains connected to it by the The Oxygen Chronicles, a blogsheoriginated in the Summer of 2007. Blogging has enabled her to meet hundreds of fellow brave, bold, and brilliant warriors, and she hopes to one day repay her readers for their devotion. Hinsley's writing credits include several published anthologies and literary magazines, and she is currently at work on a memoir about her unusual life.
In the meantime, hope is her watchword, Otter Pops are yummy, and she hopes to see hospitals stocked with fashionable, body-conscious johnnies in her lifetime. She'll happily model them during New York's Fashion Week.
